Welcome to Foase
From email dated: 12/4/05
Yesterday I officially moved in to Foase! And Friday I was officially
sworn in as a Peace Corps Volunteer! Yay! now it's time to move in,
plan, learn, and start working, ahh! scary! but it'll be good. Foase
is a beatiful village. James and Angela spent last night with me,
since they needed to stay in Kumasi anyway, cuz the trip from techiman
to their villages is too far for one day. 3 hours in a tro is long
enough, eeek. haha, time and transportation, among many many other
things will be much different when i return.
my kittens seem to be adjusting just fine, but then again, it's only
been one day.
oh, and i went to the sub-office to day to upload my pics from my
camera, but someone was using the computer for work, so i couldn't
bump her off, maybe when i get back from the internet i'll be able to
do that. 240 pics, it's about time i uplaoded them! haha.
on that note, sorry to do this in a mass email, Jan and Dad, I don't
need another memory stick, this one is not full and i have 240 pics,
and me and erin already worked something out. Thank you very much for
the thought :).
ok 8 min left and the internet is begin slow. it's really strange
right now. i'm sure i'll have more to say next time. still in teh
settling in mode.
merry holidays!
it's nice and toasty here :) harmattan is well on its way :)
