Tax Deductible Donation (finishing someone else's project)

Hey All,
So my Peace Corps boss came to my site yesterday. It went very well. I'm being a good volunteer and I've accomplished a lot more than I thought. Anyway, the previous volunteer (who was a crappy ass volunteer, he was never in the comunity, didn't make any friends, etc.) set up a proposal to get a Computer Lab built in the community. He left the people of Foase with the impression that the money for the computer center was all raised and set to go. HOwever, there's still 5,777$ left to be raised through the Peace Corps donation process. JOhn, my PC supervisor, explained to me about how to donate and that it's tax deductible.
First, go to http://www.peacecorps.gov and click on DONATE NOW
Next, select the Africa region.
Then scroll down a bit until you see Ghana, "Community Resource Center and Computer Lab" the volunteer#s name will say J Levine, that's the previous volunteers name. And then just read the rest of the instructions and voila, you've donated and hopefully we can get the Computer Lab built in Foase. I don't know why Jeff thought that was the best thing for teh community, I mean, learning how to use a computer is important, but the schools need latrines and handwashing stations. Anyway, I also think it will be bad for Peace Corps if a volunteer promises something and does not follow through, so that's why I'm trying to raise the money for the Lab. So please, pass this info on to anyone who may be interested, even to your churches, etc. Foase is a very christian town, in case that helps.
So that's that.
I'll write again in about a week or so.
Kris
